A sound can really make a difference. A specific sound gives the identity in a melody..
A sound makes you feel this way or the other..
Different sounds inspire you to create different songs..
Feelings are complex so are the sounds.. That's why synthesizers exist!
And Drum Machines!
Noone can deny that you cannot make an 80s funk song with a TR909, just can't happen. You need Simmons or Linn or something else, or Yamahaness for 90s soul and fusion...
But EDM you can make with TR machines, no doubt...
So, each drum sound has a vibe, an identity.
Of course you can be creative and mix and match, but a LINN is a LINN and SIMMONS SDS will always be SIMMONS SDS, and Yamaha is Yamaha! You catch my drift??
Nuff with all this philosophical talk..
What i am trying to say is that i gathered samples that i have found from many Drum machines, and made them Kontakt instruments, so i can play them instantly with my MIDI synth.

He did all the hard work of sampling and categorizing. I just threw the samples into Kontakt.
His site is Awesome !! So many drums, so many songs !!!!
With his permission, i uploaded the KONTAKT instruments i made, using his samples, so you can download them freely.
Some samples were slightly edited (trimmed, normalised etc), as to better use them in Kontakt.
All instruments were made with Kontakt 5, are in monolith format (samples contained) and files were compressed with Winrar .
